My friends and I joined a local cosplay 4-koma contest, and we made it to the top 10. The 3 winning entries will be picked based on who gets the most votes, since they've already passed the judges' criteria. We did our best to create humorous 4-komas but we're up against entries that already have thousands of, or almost a thousand, likes. Perhaps we don't have good persuasion skills, but then, T&B also doesn't seem to be that popular here. We're hoping to reach out to T&B fans to see our entries. Thus, if it's no trouble, and if you'd like to help us out, could you please like or share our entries? We'd really like to make it to the top 3.

This is the entry I submitted, which is about Scarf-tan meeting the Heroes and secretly being a fujoshi: www.cosplay.ph/microsites/cosm…

And this is my friend's entry, which features Kotetsu and Barnaby bantering as usual: www.cosplay.ph/microsites/cosm…

All you have to do is - if you're liking via Facebook - to click the "like" button on the upper left corner. You can also click "share" to spread the word, as shares also count as likes. Thus, you can vote multiple times by liking on FB and, say, sharing on Twitter, your blog, etc. We're not sure what the prizes are for this contest but we'd really like to spread the T&B love. So if you like our entries that much, could you please share the post on your page, website, Tumblr, and/or Twitter accounts as well?

Thank you!
Pretty Sure:

1. Shouko Kirishima (Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu) - I'm hoping to cosplay her with a group (specifically, with some friends who were supposed to cosplay some Baka Test characters - I'm not sure if they want me to divulge their names, as they might want their plans to be kept secret), but I'm not sure if my friends are still pushing through with their plans.

2. Homura Akemi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) - I've been wanting to cosplay her since last year, but I'm scared because Madoka Magica is a popular series, and I'm sure a lot of fanboys (and even fangirls) will have high expectations as to how Homura's supposed to look like. Sure, I can portray Homura personality-wise, but I fear I'm too chubby for her. (Actually, this insecurity is why I didn't push through with Homura last year.) I have a friend who wants to cosplay Mami, and she reassured me that if I'm insecure about my looks but, at the same time, want to cosplay Homura so urgently yet can't lose enough weight in such a short period of time (basically my dilemma), we could just have a photoshoot instead so that, through clever angling and framing, I might not look as pudgy.

3. Narcissa Malfoy (Harry Potter series) - Again, another cosplay plan that will be carried over to 2012. I'm cosplaying her with my darling as my Lucius. Our goal is to cosplay Narcissa and Lucius at the next Victorian- or fantasy-themed event, with another friend of ours as Bellatrix. I think we might also have a shoot as well.

4. Gai Tsutsugami (Guilty Crown) - Ah, he looks so bishie... and I don't (I'm sorry)! But I think that I'd really like to give cosplaying him a try. I already have the wig, as I think that my Miyo wig will do for Gai. A friend of mine wants to cosplay Ogumo, and he's even thinking of forming a Guilty Crown group, so I won't be alone in this.

5. Yuri Petrov (Tiger and Bunny) - He's so thin and is such a pretty boy. I'm not sure if I'll look good as him, because Yuri is incredibly, incredibly thin, so if I don't feel confident about wearing Yuri to a con, maybe I'll just debut him at a shoot.

Highly Likely:

1. Pao-Lin Huang (Tiger and Bunny) - A chubby girl like me might not look good in a fitted tracksuit, so yeah. Sometime in the middle of the year, Andrea and I talked about our cosplay plans, and she said that she was thinking of being Ivan, and I suggested that maybe we could cosplay Pao-Lin and Ivan together when she comes back here. I don't know if she's changed her mind since then, and I'm not sure when she'll be back in the country, but I'm still hoping we can cosplay Pao-Lin and Ivan together, and even have a shoot.

2. Victoria (Tales of Graces) - I don't play video games anymore, but I was invited to join a Graces group. I've at least did some research about the character, and she seems to be the badass type, like Olivier Armstrong. Also, she's a minor character, so I suppose that it should be easier to portray her despite knowing about her only through research. Still, I'm not sure because I'm hesitant to portray characters from series I only have secondhand knowledge of. I'm still embarrassed about how I portrayed Bernkastel before, you see.

Dreams

1. Charlotte (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) - She's cute, but that mascot outfit is going to cost a lot and will be uncomfortable, I'm sure. I don't know if there's some other way to make that costume (maybe a mask for the head and... I dunno... cloth for the body?), but for now, it seems that the only way to make this costume is to have a mascot outfit commissioned, hence this being a cosplay dream.

2. Pao-Lin Huang, Dragon Kid version (Tiger and Bunny) - She wears poofy shorts, and the outfit exposes her upper arms and thighs. I'd have to have average-sized arms and thighs to cosplay her properly.

3. Kirin (Petshop of Horrors) - Again, a long-time dream of mine. The dress isn't fitted so I'm sure I can cosplay her despite my figure but the headdress is going to cost a lot.

Past Cosplays I'd Like to Have a Proper Photoshoot For:
1. Jennifer Sato ([C]: The Money of Soul and Possibility)
2. Mina Hazuki (Darker than Black: Ryuusei no Gemini) - Hopefully with [info]ninjapeps as my Genma Shizume
3. Miyo Takano, both versions (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni)
4. Caterina Sforza (Trinity Blood) - Hopefully with an Abel
5. Beatrice (Umineko no Naku Koro ni) - With Virgilia, Battler and Maria

I would also say Suou and Kimblee too, but I'm not sure, heehee.
Oh, hello again, dA. Just a while ago, I was browsing through my dA because I hadn't gone here in a while, and I hardly even log in to dA unless I feel like it or I have something to post. I actually deleted a bunch of submissions because I thought, "Oh, crap, why did I submit them?" Not that they were horrendous - I liked some of them - but then some of the pics seemed redundant, some weren't too good because I took them with my own point-and-shoot camera (yes, I know, you can take good pics with a P&S, but the ones I posted weren't all that), some were trial pics (and not very good ones at that), etc. I guess that sometimes, I just get really excited about all the pics I get from a con or shoot (not that there are a lot of pics, heehee) that I can't decide properly which pics would be worth uploading on dA. (I guess I sometimes have the same problem on Cure, though I also removed a bunch of redundant pics.) There are just some pics (e.g. con pics with too many people in the background) that are best left to look back on in personal accounts. So... yeah.

And now I'm going to upload some pics. I wonder if, one day, I'll suddenly look back and think, "Hmm... maybe this doesn't belong to dA" and delete it. XD
Hello! I'm in need of funding and some space, so I'm selling some of my old things.

Please check out nihonmachi.multiply.com or this album on Facebook: www.facebook.com/media/set/?s.…

I plan to include some costumes, so please check for updates. For now, I've got manga, some merchandise, and wigs. Also, I might open up a Paypal account for international buyers, if anyone overseas would like to buy my stuff.

Thank you!
Hello again, dA. Blogging over here isn't really my thing because I prefer doing so on LJ (and my blog entries usually end up pretty long anyway), so what few entries I'll blog here will be as short as possible, and will most likely be about cosplay. Most of the personal stuff (e.g. travel) goes to LJ (and Multiply, if I feel like cross-posting).

But anyway, I digress.

2011 marks my third year of cosplaying and I noticed that the number of cosplays that I've been doing in a year has been steadily increasing. In 2008, I only had two cosplays; in 2009, there were four; and there were five in 2010. (In 2009 and 2010, though, I had a few closet cosplays, so I didn't have to spend too much money on them.) As for 2011? Well, I've already debuted four new costumes this year, although technically, I've only spent for two because the others were closet cosplays (Ennis, whose outfit was a suit, and Miyo's casual outfit).

However, I've got a few more cosplay plans for the year. I don't really keep my plans a secret unless I'm supposed to (or I think I'm supposed to), because I feel that my friends or acquaintances should know (so that they can stop me from making the wrong decision while there's still time XD), so here they are. Except for two, the rest are not secrets:

1. Jennifer Sato ([C]: The Money of Soul and Possibility), which will only be worn in a mini-shoot. I'm still having second thoughts about this, because, while the outfit is simple enough, I'm not as endowed as she is, ahaha.

2. Disney character which I'll be cosplaying with my sister on the second day of Toycon

3. Beatrice (Umineko no Naku Koro ni), which will be debuted at a certain con that'll be held in July in an amazingly beautiful place

4. Harry Potter character for a shoot (assuming this pushes through)

5. Homura Akemi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica), whom I'll be cosplaying with a friend who'll do Kyubey at Cosplay Mania

For now, I'm pretty sure about these plans. I've already checked my cosplay fund and I think it should be enough for all these. Besides, I intend to sell some things once I clean out my closets more properly.

Good night!
Hello everyone! Welcome to my dA. I've wanted to get a dA for some time now, because I want to keep track of my favorite cosplayers, but I was hesitant to do so for many reasons. First, there's this paradoxical feeling I have: on the one hand, I want to post some of my pics here, but on the other hand, I'm a bit shy about posting my pics; second, I get the feeling that I might have a bit too many social networking accounts, which will make it hard to maintain this (oh, and I'm a bit meticulous when it comes to my accounts; I sometimes like to cross-post things for... I dunno, consistency purposes? Or maybe it's just a quirk of mine); and third, in relation to the previous reason, I don't know how active I'll be on dA. Anyway, since the thought of creating a dA came to mind again recently, I finally entertained the thought and decided to create this account. I'll just upload selected cosplay pics because I prefer to keep most of my pics private to my friends (on my other social networking accounts, of course), and maybe whatever other nice pics I may have. I hope I will enjoy things here, meet new friends and keep in touch with old ones!
